HP DeskJet 6840 Printer Ink Cartridges

You and your family can share the deskjet 6840 wirelessly, just install a Wi-Fi network in your house and you can share your printer without hooking and unhooking the USB.  But chances are, you already have a wireless network router, so it would be practical to use this printer with it.  You can print from a digital camera or from any desktop within range.  The printer also has a PictBridge port located on the front part of the printer for those who doesn't want to print wireless.  It is easy to install and easy to use, you just have to follow the procedures closely to be able to do it properly. The printer cartridges that are used in this model are the typical Hewlett Packard ones with the printer head built into the cartridges itself - this is why cheap HP compatibles are not available - due to the massive R&D and resulting patents that HP apply for on the technological inventions used in them.

The 6840 has an Ethernet cable included in the package that should be hooked up to your wireless router; the printer would figure out the connections on its own and connect itself to the wireless network automatically.  If done properly, you can unhook the cable and it will still appear on the wireless router when turned on.  You can also use a USB flash drive; required settings will transfer from the PictBridge port to the router.  Once you have finished setting up, it’s easy printing from there on in, just remember to use the draft mode if printing any old rubbish off the internet, like maps etc to conserve the expensive ink being used up too quickly!

You can load up to 150 sheets to your deskjet printer and print quality colour pictures at a moderate speed.  Though the prints for 4-point font don’t seem to pass the standard, it could be forgiven, who prints documents that small anyway, unless you've got bionic vision! The photo quality of the prints however is impressive.  It prints high contrast with sharp and vivid colour details that you would expect from a more high-end printer.  Though there is no difference to the print quality and print time when you connect your printer wirelessly or USB, those who are already committed to a Wi-Fi world will appreciate this.
